The first World Spice Industry Summit Forum and World Spice Trading Center and Industry Cluster Greater Bay Area 9+2 Project Site Selection Press Conference were held in Beijing

  On April 22, 2021, the first World Spice Industry Summit Forum and the press conference on the site selection of the World Spice Trading Center and Industry Cluster Greater Bay Area 9+2 project were held at the China Hotel in Beijing.

  The press conference was hosted by Guangdong Xiangdu Cultural Industry Co., Ltd. under the guidance of the Central Party School (the research group of the "the Belt and Road and the construction of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area"), the China Huaxia Cultural Heritage Foundation and the China Economic Reform Research Foundation, with the support of more than 20 units, including the Entrepreneurs Association of the European American Students Association and the China Industrial Overseas Development Association. The press conference aims to stimulate the vitality of market entities, promote entrepreneurial spirit, and drive the high-end and large-scale development of China's fragrance industry.

      New driving force for economic development, green and low-carbon support for rural revitalization

      Since ancient times, spices have been an important component of the Silk Road trade. In recent years, China's fragrance industry has developed strongly and has become an important bridge for cultural exchanges, trade exchanges and economic cooperation among countries along the "the Belt and Road".

      According to statistics, essence and fragrances mainly include plant fragrances (such as fragrant flowers, vanilla, fragrant trees, etc.), animal fragrances, chemical synthetic fragrances, and mineral fragrances. There are more than 1500 fragrances in more than 17000 categories. The output value of China's fragrance industry has reached 10 trillion yuan, while that of the world's essence and fragrance industry has reached 150 billion dollars, with an annual increase of 25% of the trading volume, of which the output value of the agarwood industry has reached 1 trillion yuan.

      On May 14, 2020, the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China proposed for the first time the construction of a new development pattern of domestic and international dual circulation promoting each other. China's fragrance industry has unique environmental and resource advantages. Its high-end and large-scale development can largely promote the formation of a new development pattern in China's economic and social fields, with the domestic circulation as the mainstay and the domestic and international dual circulation mutually promoting each other. Economic development can drive rural revitalization. Previously, planting agarwood took decades or even hundreds of years without necessarily yielding a harvest. Now, with our new technologies and varieties, it only takes 3-5 years to harvest, which is more than ten times the economic value of normal crops and increases land income and value.

      Inheriting the "fragrance culture" and creating a distinctive "fragrance industry" cultural and tourism brand

      The Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area plays an important role in global development and is a new engine and innovation center for national economic development. As one of the birthplaces of the agarwood industry, Liaobu Town in Dongguan City, Guangdong Province, is located in the development hinterland of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. According to historical records, Dongguan, Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Maoming and other cities in Guangdong Province have a cultural history of using agarwood for over 1500 years, making them the hometowns of agarwood in China. Among them, Huaxia Xiangdu Cultural Industry (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. is based in Dongguan, the core area of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. Together with Shenzhen Overseas Chinese Town East Investment Co., Ltd., China Huaxia Cultural Heritage Foundation, China Agarwood Museum, Guangdong Incense Industry Association, Dongguan Incense Association, Shenzhen Incense Industry Association, Hainan Incense Association, Fujian Incense Association, Guangxi Incense Association and nearly a hundred other associations, it has jointly created the "Huaxia Xiangdu" incense industry, reshaped the "Ancestral Source of Incense, Incense Holy Land", "Incense Medical and Nourishing Cultural and Creative Carbon Base", "Incense Health Incense Nourishing Highland of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area", and promoted the optimization and upgrading of the incense industry structure.

      Enhance and improve the industrial chain, and create an integrated "fragrance industry" industrial park

     The intermediate links in the fragrance industry chain include a series of manufacturing industries such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, food, health products, and daily necessities. Among them, the traditional Chinese medicine and spice industries are industries that can take root and have great potential. For agarwood, it is the diamond in plants. It is both traditional agriculture and different from traditional agriculture. Its coverage is wide and can be roughly divided into agarwood agriculture, agarwood industry, agarwood medicine and health industry, and agarwood cultural industry. Agarwood has great development value and can be made into products for different purposes according to different grades and forms. At present, the agarwood products produced in Guangdong Province mainly include incense, traditional Chinese medicine, ornaments, and collectibles. They have a broad market in Europe, Africa, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and other regions, as well as countries around the world.
